Why try breathwork?

Consciously using your breath to connect to the deeper aspects of yourself is one of the most effective ways of creating space for a transmutation to occur from deep within, bringing your mind, body and heart into greater alignment with your truest nature. A way to move beyond that which is unhelpful and in the road of being truly and powerfully available to life.

Group Breathwork is a useful practice for:

  • working with unhelpful, held or stuck emotional material;

  • unlocking your life force and sense of vitality;

  • discharging stress, tension, anxiety, depression or stuck energy;

  • accessing and digesting unprocessed distressing experiences from the past;

  • understanding and repatterning limiting behaviours or thought processes;

  • using group energy to go deeper into your own process;

  • addressing relational material and experiencing being supported in a group setting;

  • working with and releasing ancestral, family systems and transpersonal wounds;

  • exploring consciousness and life questions; and

  • improving general well-being.

Breathwork is NOT meditation but rather a dynamic body and breath based form of healing, transformation and deep inner unfolding.

About Jennylee:

I have been working with breathwork for over 30 years having experienced my first personal session when I was 25. Since then, I have incorporated Breathwork into my personal daily life and trained as a professional Breathwork Practitioner with my own practice (Breathe and Be You) since 2016. In 2021 I also expanded as a Professional Trainer recognised by the Australian Breathwork Association.

I deeply revere the ability of a person’s own breath intelligence as a tool for transmutation and transformation. Using the conscious connected breathing cycle, you can move through all of life’s lowest lows and highest highs with more grace supported by your own breath. My work is client focussed influenced by rebirthing breathwork, metaphysical principles and nature-based ceremony. I was taught by Robyn Fernance, who is a world authority on the impact of birth memory on learning,
change and life. My values revolve around connection to Self, Nature and Others and I love the freedom felt when riding my motorcycle.

Join us for the Transmute Breathwork Immersive, a two-night retreat held at the luxurious Heartspace Retreat in the picturesque Yass Valley, just 45-minutes from Canberra and under three hours from Sydney.

Bookings and further information are available here.

This retreat is a Breathwork immersion experience and as such will be led by the material that emerges from within the group, rather than a set theme or agenda, however, we will have a focus on helping participants move beyond limitations that affect their sense of belonging, worth and lovability.

During this retreat, you will have the opportunity to use transpersonal Breathwork and other embodiment practices to release old stories, let go of stuck emotional and energetic patterns, and create space for new experiences and ways of being in your life. We will draw on the season of winter to go deeply inwards into the fertile soil of the unconscious and bring forth new growth.

You will be supported by a team of experienced Breathwork practitioners, led by Amber and Joshua. Amber and Joshua have been facilitating Transmute Breathwork since 2019 and have supported hundreds of people from all walks of life to experience the transformative power of Breathwork.

This retreat is beginner-friendly. Beginners are welcome to come try a group or one on one Breathwork session prior to coming to the retreat to get a feel for it.

We welcome all genders, sexualities and expressions of identity (18 +). The only criterion is that you are committed to empowering, healing and inspiring your own inner unfolding. Unfortunately, the retreat centre is not suitable for people with special accessibility needs.

This experience is drug and alcohol-free.

Queer Breathwork - Sydney

This Queer Breathwork session is a special LGBTIQA+ gathering. It's purpose is to create a safe and supported space for the LGBTIQA+ community to gather, process unconscious energies held in the body, access higher-states of consciousness and inner wisdom, and celebrate Queer energy.

The early bird exchange for this workshop is $75 (plus booking fee, by 1 June 2023). The full exchange is $90 (plus booking fee). A limited number of sponsored tickets are available. No experience is necessary, all welcome. Limited spaces available.

Booking available here.

What is transpersonal breathwork?

Transpersonal breathwork is an advanced breathing technique called conscious connected breathing. This technique bypasses the thinking mind and activates subconscious memories, thoughts, feelings and emotions held in the body. These experiences are explored, amplified and/or released. Breathwork is a down-up and experiential therapeutic practice that is guided by sensations and experiences within the body, rather than the mind.

What is breathwork useful for?

Breathwork therapy assists with a broad range of presenting issues. Such as:

  • feelings and experiences associated with anxiety and depression;

  • trauma (including early childhood and inter-generational);

  • behavioural issues (for example shyness, low-self esteem, procrastination, disassociation and addictive behaviours);

  • stress and pain relief;

  • body concerns (including eating disorders);

  • sex and sexuality (including matters relating to the LGBTQI community);

  • relational material (such as relationships at work, in the family, between friends and your partner(s));

  • spiritual questions and spiritual experiences;

  • further exploring material from plant medicine experiences;

  • interest in altered-state therapies;

  • life purpose and mindfulness questions; and

  • those with a curiosity about breathwork and wanting to improve general wellbeing.

Health and wellbeing considerations (contraindicators):

Breathwork uses a rhythmic/dynamic breathing pattern for an extended period of time, giving you access to an altered-state of consciousness. Whilst this breathing practice is safe, there are certain mental and physical conditions that may prevent you from participating in this workshop. These may include people with cardiovascular problems, pregnancy, some psychiatric conditions, psychosis, recent surgery or fractures, acute infectious illness or epilepsy, severe hypertension, glaucoma, or active spiritual emergency.

Booking available here.

Transmute Breathwork: Winter Solstice

Explore your inner world with your breath - Winter Solstice.

Bookings and further information available here.

This special Winter Solstice Transmute Breathwork ceremony will support you to access a deeper understanding of Self and your experience of life, through the use of conscious-connected breathing (breathwork).

This breathwork gathering is to acknowledge and honour the Winter Solstice (Yule), the longest night of the year and the end/beginning of the seasonal passage. Participants will be invited to let go and release that which no longer serves, to embrace the deep nourishing dark of mid-winter from which new growth will emerge in time. We will use the element of fire to celebrate the returning of the sun and the ignition of the light/fire within us that emerges from the fertile soils of our inner hibernation.

_________________________________________________________________________

Your breath is a powerful transformational tool available to help you explore your body, your heart, your soul and your way of being in the world.

Body Being (Amber) and Transition Breath (Joshua) join together for this transformational Breathwork experience on:
– Saturday 24 June 2023
– 5:45pm-8:45pm
– 3/1 Dairy Rd, Fyshwick. Canberra.

We will use Conscious Connected Breathing, body awareness and relaxation to enter a meditative and altered-state of consciousness. In this state, participants may access memories, thoughts, feelings. movements and sensations from their subconscious world, which are then amplified towards release and deep integration.

Limited spaces are available.

Breathwork is NOT meditation but rather a dynamic body and breath based form of healing, transformation and deep inner unfolding.

Men's group breathwork

Explore your inner world with your breath.
Bookings available here.

This Beyond the Mind men's group breathwork session will support you to access a deeper understanding of Self and your experience of life, through the use of conscious-connected breathing (breathwork).

This breathing technique supports you to transition from the logic/rationale mind to what is called a flow or altered state of consciousness. In this flow state, you can access new information or clarity about life, release held or "hidden" physical or emotional material, bring your heart, body and mind into alignment, and have transpersonal experiences. Ultimately, breathwork brings forth soul-consciousness - an experience and understanding that exists beyond the thinking mind and identification with self.

This group breathwork session is held for anyone who identifies as a man. All levels of experience, all bodies, all types of sexuality and masculinity. This is a queer-friendly event.

This group breathwork session is on:

  • Tuesday 6 June 2023

  • 6:15pm-8.45pm

  • Griffith Community Centre, Stuart Street, Griffith (next to the Griffith Shops)

Further information about the session will be provided to participants. Limited spaces available.
